Abstract

Correction for ‘Synthesis of barbituric acid containing nucleotides and their implications for the origin of primitive informational polymers’ by Chaitanya V. Mungi et al., Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2016, 18, 20144–20152. In the published version of this manuscript, acknowledgement for one of the funding sources was inadvertently omitted. The first sentence of the Acknowledgements section should read: “We wish to express our sincere gratitude to IISER, Pune and DST-SERB (EMR/2015/000434) for funding support.” The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
