dc.description.abstractThe contents of this thesis are basic notions in combinatorial topology and simplicial homology theory. Some existing techniques of how we can compute the homology groups are also presented. The results on classification of all closed combinatorial surfaces has been discussed. Methods of generating triangulation of surfaces by using computers has been discussed. It is based on the project work which I undertook in IIT Patna as reading project followed by programming to generate triangulations.en_US
