Limits of an increasing sequence of Riemann surfaces

Abstract

Let MM be a Riemann surface which admits an exhaustion by open subsets MjMj each of which is biholomorphic to a fixed planar domain ΩΩ. We describe MM in terms of ΩΩ under various assumptions on the boundary components of ΩΩ.
