Abstract

We explore the main statements of class field theory from the perspective of local global principle. In the process, we explore various instances of the local global principle, which asks whether a property that holds in all completions of the number field, holds in the number field itself. Important among them are the Kronecker-Weber theorem, Hasse norm theorem and the Grunwald-Wang theorem.
